Camp All Stars, Lets Kids be Kids

For 23 years, the Harriet Lane Kidney Center, part of the Division of Pediatric Nephrology at the Johns Hopkins Children's Center, has devised a clever and fun way to help patients feel part of a community. Camp All Stars is a two-day overnight camp specifically designed for children and young adults ages 10 through 21 who have chronic kidney disease, are on dialysis, or have had kidney transplants. Funded by philanthropy, the purpose behind Camp All Stars is to let kids be kids, encouraging them to bond with like individuals without worrying about the daily demands of medications and procedures that can often lead to feelings of isolation.

With your support, our patients can continue to join us each summer -- first as campers who then return as counselors!
