My annual request of anyone whose life has been touched by Parkinson's disease

Dear Family and Friends.

I  hope you are well. I will soon reach 20 years since my diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease. This is an insidious, progressive disease which has no cure, YET. Scientists worldwide are working to find improved treatments and a cure. There is a glimmer of hope that this disease will be defeated.

All of this requires money. Your contribution will help the Johns Hopkins Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders Center with research, education and patient care. Donations can be made through December 31, 2024, so you have plenty of time to consider what you might be able to offer; but sooner is always better!  To make a contribution, please just follow the prompts on this page. Please help us reach our goal of raising $3,000 for the Center.

Also, since Pacing for Parkinson's is running a bit different this year, please keep an eye on my site for information about our own "walk" to help raise awareness and funds for this essential charity. Again, your caring and support is appreciated a great deal, thank you in advance.

Stacy

Pacing for Parkinson’s (P4P) is a volunteer-led community that raises awareness of and funds for Parkinson’s disease research, education, outreach programs, and patient care at Johns Hopkins. P4P seeks to be inclusive and accessible to anyone affected by Parkinson’s disease, regardless of ability level. A large portion of the money raised goes directly to the Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Center. The remaining funds are put toward basic science research, training the next generation of care providers and researchers, and ensuring facilities are comfortable for patients and loved ones at Johns Hopkins Medicine.

2024 marks Pacing for Parkinson's 16th year of raising funds and awareness for Parkinson's Disease. Learn more about the history of Pacing for Parkinson's and get involved today!
