Colorectal Cancer viciously attacked Eben and took Roger’s wife, Lynda. Eben and Lynda fought their cancer with every ounce of their being. Lynda added years to her life and, thankfully, Eben won his battle. With those battles still resonating years later, last year we started our campaign to take the fight to cancer. In our inaugural year, our Cycle to End Cancer Campaign raised $65,000 and that money made a difference. Nilo Azad, MD and her team at the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center Colorectal Cancer Research Center of Excellence put the money right to work to save more people from cancer’s indiscriminate pain and suffering.
But that was only the beginning. This year we are joined by Brian Cornblatt. Both of Brian’s parents are Colon Cancer survivors. With Brian and your help, based on your response from last year, we have raised our goal to $100,000 and with the increased goal comes more ambitious, critical research. Dr Azad and her team have committed to a new clinical trial aiming to save the lives of more colorectal cancer patients. This is exciting, state of the science, lifesaving work.
