Description
Through the Fill the Freezer Campaign, the Sibley Memorial Hospital Foundation supports patients in the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center infusion clinic at Sibley Hospital by providing free ice cream, snacks, and nutritional support during treatment. With more than 23,000 infusion appointments each year, these simple comforts are a meaningful part of the patient experience.
This program began with grant funding and, over the past three years, has been sustained by the generosity of patient donors and the broader Sibley community. Thanks to this support, patients have been able to enjoy a small treat—like an ice cream bar—during their visit. While it may seem simple, it can help ease side effects, lift spirits, and offer a brief moment of joy on a difficult day.
Today, we rely on continued philanthropic support to keep the freezer stocked. The need is ongoing, and every gift helps ensure that this small but meaningful comfort remains available to all who need it.
The nurses, doctors, staff, and patients at Sibley are deeply grateful for your support. Together, we can continue to make each patient’s day a little brighter.
