Join Us on February 15th For the King of Hearts Tennis Tournament!
The King of Hearts fundraiser is a way for Skip, Teri, and family, to shine a light on the amazing work of the Johns Hopkins Heart Failure and Transplant Programs. On February 17th, 2024 Skip underwent received a heart transplant at Johns Hopkins, due to an acute catastrophic viral cardiomyopathy - possibly from COVID exposure in October 2023. This was quite a turn, as Skip has always been very healthy, never having been ill or hospitalized.
Skip is a very talented professional tennis player who competed on the Professional Tennis Tour with the Eastern Section of the USA in his younger days. He even qualified to go to Wimbledon in 1983! Skip is the part-time teaching pro at Sea Colony in Bethany Beach, DE, and up until he became ill, he played high-level tennis for two hours nearly every day.
In honor of Skips anniversary and American Heart Month, join us in raising support for continued Heart Failure education and outreach in the Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia regions!
