Resources for Inclusive and Sustainable Menstrual Dignity in Baltimore City
Helping to Ensure Menstrual Dignity for Baltimore’s Community through Project R.I.S.E. Baltimore - Resources for Inclusive and Sustainable Menstrual Dignity in Baltimore City.
We are a team of four passionate graduate students committed to making a tangible difference regarding menstrual dignity in Baltimore City. For many people in our communities, the issues surrounding barriers to menstrual hygiene products and education that have the largest impacts on poverty, dignity, and inequality for students are often overlooked.
Project R.I.S.E: Our immediate goal is to raise funds to supply menstrual pads to women, girls, and teens in Baltimore’s more underserved neighborhoods- focusing on the Oldtown/Middle East communities.
This project is not just about providing products; it’s about creating a sustainable, community-driven effort to ensure that no student in Baltimore City must miss school or suffer in silence due to a lack of menstrual hygiene products.
Our mission is simple: no student in Baltimore should have to sacrifice their education or well-being due to a lack of menstrual products. By partnering with our institutions, nonprofits, and communities, we can aim to ensure that access to these products will become a sustainable reality.
This holiday season, we are asking for your help to change that. Your donations will help us make menstrual dignity a reality for the people in the communities closest to us in Baltimore. With your help, we can empower students to focus on their futures, not their periods. Every donation brings us one step closer to a more equitable future for all.
Donations will directly support The Violet Project, a Johns Hopkins program. Donations received will be used to purchase menstrual hygiene products which will be delivered to young adolescents in the Johns Hopkins gynecology clinics as well in Baltimore City schools.
