Our Crowdfunding Groups
Our beloved Bernadette turns two on September 29th, 2024. Most of you will know that Bernie has had a fantastic year of growth. She’s now a full-fledged toddler with opinions and the know-how to advocate for herself in most situations. I’m not exaggerating when I say that we, as her parents, cry multiple times a week when we think about how far she has come and how much joy she brings to us, her brothers – Cormac and Padraig, and our extended families. There are many people to thank for these developments, but Dr. Courtney Kraus and the team at Johns Hopkins Hospital’s Wilmer Eye Institute are very high on our list. As we did last year, we will donate to Wilmer, specifically to Dr. Kraus’s research and training fund, in honor of Bernie’s birthday. We are fortunate to be just down the road from this world-class institute and honored to support its efforts so that people everywhere can benefit. The Wilmer Eye Institute began because of the efforts of a grateful patient more than 100 years ago. Together, we can continue this legacy by supporting Dr. Kraus and her efforts to continue providing compassionate patient care and continued healing, as well as achieving clinical, research, and teaching goals. We hope you will consider supporting Wilmer on behalf of the Bernies in your life, whether they are 2 or 102.
