Going to the hospital can be scary, so we’re raising funds to provide soothing sensory toys and capes for our brave superhero kids!
The Wilmer Eye Institute’s Family Focus Initiative helps children — and by extension their parents — feel relaxed and safe when at Wilmer for treatment that requires anesthesia. We provide fidget toys to soothe children’s nerves and offer them a choice of superhero capes to wear. Offering a choice gives kids a sense of control, which also calms them down and inspires confidence that everything will go well.
A small donation can go a long way in supporting our effort. A donation of $15 funds one child’s experience. More allows us to expand our Child Life efforts at Wilmer. Please consider donating to make a child feel better today.
