Many of you do not know... A few short years ago, our dad was diagnosed with Parkinson's. My husband and I ran into P4P last year at the Baltimore Running Festival and felt eager to participate with this organization to raise awareness!
Support us in our series of races to raise awareness for Parkinson's! Collectively we are participating in several races, but most importantly, P4P is participating in the Susquehanna River Running Festival this year where we will be running in the 10k! We also have lined of for the season The Baltimore 10k - The OC Half Marathon and The Disney Marathon! Please support us in donating to this organization! Below is a description of what exactly P4P does!
Pacing for Parkinson’s (P4P) is a volunteer-led community that raises awareness of and funds for Parkinson’s disease research, education, outreach programs, and patient care at Johns Hopkins. P4P seeks to be inclusive and accessible to anyone affected by Parkinson’s disease, regardless of ability level. A large portion of the money raised goes directly to the Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Center. The remaining funds are put toward basic science research, training the next generation of care providers and researchers, and ensuring facilities are comfortable for patients and loved ones at Johns Hopkins Medicine.
2023 marks Pacing for Parkinson's 15th year of raising funds and awareness for Parkinson's Disease. Learn more about the history of Pacing for Parkinson's and get involved today!
Please help us reach our goal for the Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders Center!
