The Violet Project (violetproject.org) is a non-profit organization started by physicians and youth with the mission of increasing access to sexual and reproductive health services and education for low-income youth in Maryland. The Violet Project gives out an average of 40 period packs, dozens of safe sex products, and free STI testing and treatment to low-income youth in Maryland every week.
We provide education to hundreds of youth, helping them understand their bodies, build healthy relationships, and stay safe!
The Violet Project is fundraising for a new initiative called the "Pocket Period," which is the ultimate emergency period kit designed to keep youth focused on school. The kit takes away the stress of not having what you need to menstruate during the school day. Students just grab their pouch (which looks like any other school supplies pouch) and go! Empowering students by providing essential supplies, this kit bridges the gap for those without access.
Help us raise $20,000 to equip 5,000 local students with the period products they need to succeed in school!
