My name is Sam Maccherola and I was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer in 2019. #FOURtheCURE is a campaign to raise money for the work and research of my doctor, Dr. Ken Pienta, and his team at the Brady Urological Institute at Johns Hopkins.
I didn’t expect to compete in my next Ironman with a Stage 4 diagnosis. But hope that in doing so, I can help all the other people out there struggling with this disease. I truly believe that the work and research of Dr. Pienta and his team will help bring an end to metastatic cancers of all kinds and hope that you will join me in supporting their efforts.
This is my race to complete, but I am doing it…
#FOUR…everyone struggling with cancer, and the people who love them
#FOUR…all of those we have lost too early to this devastating disease
#FOUR…the brilliant doctors who have dedicated their lives to scientific discovery
#FOURtheCURE
Dr. Pienta’s team is developing therapeutics that could cure all metastatic cancers. Please visit their website to learn more about their incredible work: https://www.kennethjpienta.com
We ask you to join me to help Dr. Pienta’s team cross the "finish line" to bring an end to metastatic disease, once and for ALL. 100% of your donation will benefit the research!
